Battle Born Trail Run

Join Us on October 24th, 2026 for the 9th Annual Battle Born Trail Run in observation of Nevada Day.

Nevada (meaning “snow-capped mountains”) became the 36th state into the Union on October 31st, 1864.

This trail run is 3.6 miles for the 36th state into the Union, a 10.31 mi and 18.64 miler for October 31st, 1864 will be held on the trail courses at Cathedral Gorge State Park.  Great scenery and views of the state park and Panaca valley.

Offering  4 distances: 18.64 miler (new this year), 10.31 miler, 1.864k Dash & 3.6 miler with two different times for the 3.6 mi races; a morning race and an evening sunset race. Only the 3.6’er is offered as a morning and sunset race.

Sunset Race:
3.6 mi – 6:00 pm

Race entry includes custom race medal, custom race swag, prize to top 2 overall winners in each distance, aid stations and finishing line with food and water.

(*If more than 15 in each distance, 3 places will be awarded)

The course will be held on the dirt trails at Cathedral Gorge. Course will be marked and is a bit challenging with the stairs to climb to Miller’s Point.

AID STATION

Millers Point Aid Stations will have water, snacks, and Tailwind electrolytes.

Millers Point usually has a restroom but for this year is under construction so there is no restroom until mile 7.3 at visitor center.

Visitors Center will have a water station & an actual restroom.

DIRECTIONS

Physical address of Cathedral Gorge State Park is 111 Cathedral Gorge State Park Rd, Panaca, Nv 89042. We will be commencing at the Group Use Area just off to the left of the main entrance road. The group use area is also the campsites for state park.

Camping is available there and park entrance/camping fees are paid at time of entrance.
